Tigers wrestled Neshaminy in a Suburban One National League Match on 1/27/16, and for the FIRST time in HISTORY, the Tigers came out on top -- edging the Redskins 34-33. Neshaminy opened up with a pin at 145lbs to lead 6-0; Dustin Stone (152) followed with a 6-0 decision over Neshaminy's Joe Little to get the Tigers on the board. The Redskins went on a 12 point run as they earned a forfeit at 160 and a fall at 170 to lead 18-3. Truman, then won the next three bouts, including a 58second fall from Alex Litz (182), a 7-4 decision over Ben Stern from Justin Litz(195), and a 4-3 decision from Isaiah Godbold at 220lbs to bring the team score within 3 points (15-18). Neshaminy quickly ran with the lead again, as they earned a forfeit at 285, a fall at 106, and a decision at 113 (33-15). Truman rallied by winning the final four bouts of the night, with a second-period fall from Freshman Gunnar Fuss (120) over Neshamny's Jackson Erb; an 8-3 decision from Joey Goldey; a second-period fall from Chris Hall at 132lbs to bring the team score to 30-33 (Neshaminy), with Senior Johnny Joel on deck for the final bout of the night. Johnny, approached the final seconds of the bout in control, but only had a 7 point lead (which would have lead to a tie). With only ten seconds on the clock, Johnny let Neshaminy's Sam Long up and took him down one last time to earn a 10-2 major deciosion, and to secure to final score of 34-33 TRUMAN.
