Nuttall, Successful Start to First Season As A Spartan!

Dylan Nuttall was a 2015 Harry S Truman graduate.  He was a PIAA State Qualifier, and currently hold the school record for most career wins (138).  Dylan had a very successful freshman year at Bridgewater State University last season, where he went 24-10 overall, earned New England Wrestling Association All-Rookie honors, and falling just short of earning an NCAA Championship birth.  Nuttall's 24 wins, was the most recorded by a freshman for the BSU Bears since 2006-2007.

This year, Dyaln transferred to York College, where he has already made a great impact on the Spartan wrestling program. This past weekend (11.5.16), Dylan went 4-1 to earn a 3rd place finish (125lbs) at the Monarch Invitational at King's College.  He opened up with an 18-5 major decision over Scranton's Jake Thomson.  He followed with an overtime win over Josh Antoine (Cortland), before falling to Roger Williams University's Nick Bareria 6-3.  Barberia went on to win the 125lb title.  In the Consolations, Nuttall bounced back with a 7-4 win over Chris Gural (RWU), and a tight 6-3 win over Josh Antoine (Cortland) to lock up his 3rd place finish.

The #10 ranked York Spartans return to action this weekend (11.12.16) at the Roger Williams Invitational.  Nuttall will be joined by former HST teammate, Jesse Huber.  Huber enters his second season with the Spartans, after serving one year as an assistant coach for Truman.  During his time at Truman, Huber was a 2x District I Champion.  In his first season with the Spartans, Huber finished 16-13 overall at 184lbs.

Great job guys - Keep it up!!
